Darrell Walker WorkForce is seeking a self-motivated, energetic and organized professional to add an Outside Sales Representative staff member to our team. This role is critical to our growth and client development with responsibility of identifying and cultivating new business partners while supporting existing customer relationships to promote overall customer satisfaction.

 

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Successful Outside Sales Representative will routinely engage with prospect clients and existing customers in person in the Greater Birmingham area, visiting business locations, to develop new business leads and provide exceptional service to current business partners.

  • Daily travel throughout the Greater Birmingham area.
  • Maintain and nurture existing accounts while actively targeting new customer opportunities, playing a pivotal role in promoting overall growth by adhering to established sales procedures.
  • Regularly travels to customer sites to build and maintain sales relationships.
  • Daily communication with team members, to expedite orders, resolve customer inquiries or issues, provide excellent service to clients.
  • Participate in job fairs, community events, Chamber of Commerce functions, training sessions, or sales meetings as requested, contributing to business development and market knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and regularly update reporting data, ensuring the integrity of information.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with clients and hiring managers, fostering valuable partnerships.
  • Conduct 10+ outside sales calls per day and diligently record interactions using a Company Data system to maintain accurate customer records.
  • Participate in team meetings with office personnel, fostering clear communication and alignment with team objectives.
  • Engage in daily communication with the inside staff team and the Operations Manager, ensuring seamless coordination and client support.

    Experience:

    - Task oriented, results driven, self-starter with a strong level of common sense, professional intelligence, ethical business practice application and impeccable verbal and written communication skills.

    - An Optimistic and out-going, team player that presents the ability to motivate one’s self and others while navigating the challenges of a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding atmosphere, presenting strong problem-solving and relationship skills.

    - Proven success with diverse Customer Service, Business-to-Business sales environment requiring strong conversational skills and relationship development abilities.

    - Strong computer knowledge with emphasis on Microsoft Office, Word, and HRIS database familiarity is preferred.

    Required Certifications/Licensing/Education/Training:

    Qualifications

    • Must have a valid driver’s license , reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.
    • 3 years of prior experience in outside sales, or related position
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar, or equivalent level of prior relevant experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge of business administration and demonstrates sales and marketing skills to drive effective strategies
    • Exhibits strong sales acumen and persuasive abilities to successfully promote products or services
    • Demonstrated ability to learn a business and to work independent to achieve set goals
    • Exceptional time management skills to efficiently prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
    Job Requirements:

    The basic responsibilities of a Outside Sales Representative include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

    Answer Multi-line Phones
    Prospect Client contact and development
    Existing Client Support
    Record-keeping
    Database Maintenance
    Interviewing and qualifying personnel
    Cold calling and Marketing; telephone and in-person
    Assisting staff with client needs by recruiting and screening qualified personnel
    Develop and maintain business relationships
    Client visits; from delivering initial proposals, providing on-going client support.
